ABOUT OCCA
Through the vision and leadership of
Ohio's Governors, Ohio State Legislators
and the Ohio Department of
Rehabilitation and Correction,
approximately 43,000 offenders are
currently involved in community
corrections in the State of Ohio. The
Ohio Community Corrections Association (OCCA)
is a professional organization that
advocates for and assists community
corrections providers to function more
effectively.
OCCA (formerly known as the Ohio Halfway
House Association (OHHA), was
incorporated in 1973 to represent
community corrections facilities
throughout the state of Ohio, the needs
of the courts, the Ohio Department of
Rehabilitation and Correction, the
offenders, and their communities. OCCA
membership includes twenty-three member
agencies that operate halfway houses and
three Community Based Corrections
Facilities (CBCF).
We take pride in our accomplishments,
but also recognize the need to move
forward and be prepared to meet the
challenges of the future.
Accreditations & Audits
All members are residential facilities
licensed by the Ohio Department of
Rehabilitation and Correction.
Of the membership agencies, fifteen
Halfway Houses and six Community Based
Correctional Facilities are currently
certified by the Ohio Department of
Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services (ODADAS)

treatment.
Six Halfway Houses and four Community
