PROGRAM OVERVIEW
  • ACA accredited
  • Life Skills Programming – hygiene, stress management, financial planning, parenting, socialization and support systems, health issues, nutrition and community awareness.
  • Residential Substance Abuse Programming – ODADAS certified, cognitive module that offers educational group, initial treatment group, relapse prevention group and aftercare group.
  • Residential Sex Offender Programming - treatment for low to high-risk individuals; treatment path is determined after assessment. Program participation is approximately six to eighteen months, depending upon risk level and progress in treatment.
  • Residential ODRC Transitional Control Programming - inmates referred for placement by ODRC to transition into the community prior to release from supervision or to the supervision of APA.
  • Residential Ohio Department of Youth Services Sex Offender Programming - treatment and transition into community.
  • Outpatient sex offender programming - treatment for low to high-risk individuals; treatment path is determined by assessment.
 
ADMISSIONS REJECTIONS
  • Referred by Ohio Deparment of Youth Services, ODRC Bureau of Community Sanctions or field referrals from Adult Parole Authrotiy.
  • Adult male (18+) under supervision of ODRC or ODYS.
  • Amenable to residential programming and group treatment.
  • Catchment area: Ashland, Crawford, Erie, Hardin, Holmes, Huron, Knox, Lorain,
    Licking Marion, Morrow, Muskingum, Ottawa,
    Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Wayne, and Wyandot counties.
  • The four counties outside of our catchment area but within the Mansfield APA region given preference. These are Coshocton, Delaware, Medina, and Union counties.
  • History of violence
  • History of arson
  • Individual not amenable to treatment
  • Risk of violence in residential setting
  • Exceptional medical/mental health needs outside agency’s available resources
  • Needs more or less structured program
  • Mental capacity does not allow program understanding or participation
  • Only 25% of admissions from outside catchment area.
