The Ohio Community Corrections Association represents nine halfway house agencies that operate 33 halfway house facilities and five community based correctional facilities in communities across Ohio. The OCCA brings members from these agencies together to tackle tough problems. Working together we:
- Collaborate to improve outcomes across the community corrections continuum
- Train community corrections providers in the evidence-based practices that reduce recidivism
- Advocate for common sense criminal justice reforms
Our member agencies help people with criminal histories get behavioral health treatment, find jobs, and assist with family reunification. All members are residential halfway houses or community based correctional facilities licensed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) and certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OMHAS). Facilities are accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA).
