Motivational Interviewing with Resistant Clients: Overcoming Barriers and Working Together

June 18, 2025, 9 A.M. to Noon

Virtual Training

Featuring:  Jacob Sadon, Organizational Development Manager for Oriana House, Inc.

This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the use of motivational interviewing (MI) specifically with resistant or uncooperative clients. An overview of MI will be covered as well as a discussion about how MI is especially useful with our extra resistant client population. The spirit of MI, MI Principles, MI Skills, and avoiding common MI traps will all be reviewed in detail. This will be a fun and interactive session that will give participants the confidence to effectively use motivational interviewing with their most challenging clients.

3 COBs, CEUs, and RCHs
