Our training is designed to meet the needs of community corrections professionals and others who work with criminal justice-involved individuals. Training sessions occur throughout the year.
Adult Mental Health 101

Virtual Training
Featuring: Chasity Rush, Clinical Supervisor at Talbert House
Community corrections professionals serve clients who often arrive at our doors with behavioral health needs. This training will cover mental health disorders that are common in the justice involved adult population. The training will attempt to increase understanding and empathy for how these disorders present and impact the behavior and functioning of individuals and their support system. Finally, the training will address common treatment approaches for the aforementioned disorders.
3 COBs and 3 Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist CEUs
This will be a virtual training, and all staff must be able to participate online from 9 a.m. to noon. This is an interactive training and you must be logged onto an individual device with a strong internet connection, camera and microphone so that you can participate in the online polls and breakout sessions that are necessary to obtain the COBs and CEUs.
Once you register, you will receive additional instructions for accessing the online training via Zoom.
