Ohio Senator Michele Reynolds Meets with OCCA Housing Committee

At its March monthly meeting, the Ohio Community Corrections Association (OCCA) Housing Committee welcomed Senator Michele Reynolds, Chair of the Ohio Senate Housing Committee, for a productive discussion on housing challenges and opportunities for justice-involved individuals.

With a strong background in providing housing and employment opportunities for this population, Senator Reynolds shared her priorities on the housing front and reaffirmed her commitment to breaking down barriers for those impacted by the criminal justice system. The conversation focused on ways to collaborate for better outcomes and more equitable access to stable housing.

The OCCA Housing Committee brings together a diverse group of stakeholders—including representatives from OCCA member halfway houses, COHHIO, CSH, the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction Office of Reentry, the Ohio Justice & Policy Center, and HUD—to address the complex housing issues facing Ohioans with a history of justice involvement. We’re grateful for Senator Reynolds’ leadership and look forward to working together toward meaningful solutions.
